About me

I prefer to start small and gradually build on my vision.

This blog is a piloting scheme to the Alentejo central Portugal eventually to cover all of Portugal. My aim and vision in mind, is to create and publish an A-Z guide book to help and guide estrangeiro horse owners in the right direction. This all totally depends on the success rate of this blog.

Hi there, I bet you have been scrolling the internet looking for what-ever alternative horsey products and services are available to you. Scroll no more your search has finished… Fayequine has been created for all us estrangeiro equine owners to help and ease take off the stress of finding what I call estrangeiro standard. I only host QUALITY.

So let me guess; -you are sat their right now thinking “OMG”, what have I brought my pony to- a country no grass, very little range of horse feeds on offer, then there is the shoes, vets, etc. To top all of this off you barely speak the language just yet, so don’t know exactly what to ask for. Then I don’t like to say this, but the local people don’t think on the same level, as in care or quality wise for animals, you ask for hay, trust me you will be brought the bed of the pig…!

I my-self brought my pony to Portugal knowing it was going to be some-what different. Over the years I have had some what ups and downs with so called local horse related services. So please let my experience and advise help you stay positive minded and welcome you to your new chosen country. I am here to help guide you in the right direction, there is nothing worse than improvising when it comes to our be-loved animals. Fayequine is for like-minded people, which like your-self want the nice and good quality things for our equine friends. I only work together with the best of the best and more important professional friendly services.

I am going to host four main catergories in this blog: Star Buy, Star Product, Star Service and Best Seller. Other catergories includes: Clinics, events, and what I will call a “wild card” (Something of what extraordinary.) Regularly up-dating each catergory all of which are of high quality products/services only.

In some of my diary up-dates you are going to notice that there are some Spanish products/services, let’s not forget that some of us like my-self are only a short car ride away of our bordering country Spain. If you cannot see anything on offer near to you please feel free to call me to discuss any enquiries or questions and I will do my up-most in trying to find whatever it may be for you.

Another important factor that I have taken into consideration is that the majority of all the listed products/services, the host on the other end of the phone speak english ‘very rare to this neck of the woods, we are not in the Algarve, you know…’ If not speaking english, I will state in the listed blog, as there is nothing worse than trying to make an enquiry and been left frustrated at the other-end of the phone.

HOPE YOU ENJOY AND BENEFIT FROM MY BLOG

Be sure to mention Fayequine in your enquires.
Testimonials
I've had one of my horses operated from one leg and when he came back from the hospital I was desperate for finding an adequate food for him, as he would have to be kept inside in a stall for many weeks in recovery, and I was totally against feeding him with grain. Fortunately, Fay recomended me the festuca from Caleya and I'm delighted with it. My horse was used to graze day and night in the field, and wouldn't eat any bad quality hay that they generally sell around here, especially during winter after a dry season. The festuca comes mid dry, smells very good, is very green, very appetizing and my horse immediatly liked it and has been eating it for the last 4 weeks during the hours that he is kept inside, as he also has access to a small paddock with fresh grass whenever the meteo allows it. He had no disgestive problem at all and is at a perfect weight. Thank you so much Fay for your good advice, and for your kindness for delivering it almost one by one, as we evaluate day by day the evolution of my horse's wound, never knowing how much longer he will go on.
